We were able to get a room at the last minute on a very busy weekend. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. The room was very clean. It is old so there are some things to be expected. There is no a/c so I definitely would not be able to stay here at 90 degree temperatures. Lucky for us, our evening here was a very comfortable 70 ish degrees. They have fans in the room which is helpful. We had 4 queen beds in 2 rooms. The beds were fairly comfortable but they really need to upgrade the pillows. TAKE YOUR OWN PILLOWS!!! There is also something wrong with the hot and cold water. Your shower is either cold or scorching hot.... we would stay here again as long as the temperatures are lower.
No air conditioning. Takes 3 or more minutes for hot water to run. Price of room for what you get is ridiculous. Ice machine broken. Little refrigerator won't work. The person I dealt with was halfway nice and tried to make some of it up to me, but not enough ! No microwave in our room either. Ask what accomidations you will have in your room when booking it.
The Bad: Where it is close to the highway in can be a bit noisy, as others have mentioned there is no ac but I was here in the middle of August and we had jackets on so who knows. The beach isn't very good below but they said its because the water came up so high. Other beaches are very close.
Worst lodging experience ever. Rude manager who couldn't couldn't figure out the right amount to charge us and tried to blame it on us. Then we had to request that the earwigs be vacuumed out of our room. Bed was clean and at least had indoor plumbing. One tiny step above camping out.
It is a small cozy place. However, it is completely outdated, there are holes in the towels, and no air conditioning.
The good: Close to town and restaurants, the view of the lake (not from the room), water was hot, room was clean, and the satellite TV worked fine.
I stayed here for 3 nights so I will give a breakdown of my stay below.
I LOVED the 60's feel of the place but it may not be for everyone.
